“We were thrilled with the response to the first intake for the Discover South Bruce Peninsula grants.  There are some fantastic operators in South Bruce Peninsula, and they have some excellent ideas.  We want to support them [tourism stakeholders] as much as possible so we can work together to grow tourism,” stated Robert Trask, Discover South Bruce Peninsula Chair.

Social Media Support Program

NOW SOLD OUT! Thank you to all those who showed interest in the program. The program is now full. Please subscribe to the newsletter to find out more about Discover South Bruce Peninsula Programs.

The Social Media Support Program is based off of the RTO7 Operations Implementation Program (OIP) and is designed to assist tourism stakeholders in South Bruce Peninsula with a social media advertising campaign to promote their operation as part of MATA and RTO7’s 2024/25 Business Plan.

  • You have an active Facebook PAGE and are actively engaged on the platform (i.e. post at regular frequency and respond to comments within 24 hours). In order to launch the campaign, you will need to allow The Aber Group to act as an advertiser on your page. In the New Pages Experience on Facebook, only individuals with “full control” (not partial) will be able to accept or assign task access.
  • You must have current collaterals (produced in the last 3 years): 5-10 high resolution images (min 1MB) and/or 1-3 videos (60 seconds or less) that can be used in a social media campaign. See Resource guide for best practices.
  • Your website is mobile friendly and must be up to date, reflecting your current offering, hours of operation and contact information. Partners will need to have a landing page consistent with what is portrayed in the video/imagery (i.e. campaign promoting ice fishing should have a related image and direct people to a fishing landing page or at minimum, a page outlining a variety of winter activities including ice fishing).

BIAs, Chambers and other non-profit organizations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Please contact MATA staff BEFORE you apply. Contact details are listed below.
